This concrete beam was showing severe signs of deterioration due to carbonation, which had led to cracking, spalling and substantial steel cross-section loss. As always, safety was a main priority for the NCS team. Careful consideration was taken into the removal of the damaged concrete, ensuring that the structure remained stable and the team working underneath were safe. The team then remediated the damaged beam to ensure a superior bond and provide durability back into the structure.
